Translations

The text of the Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules is copyright and therefore any organisation wishing to translate the Rules must seek permission to do so. The copyright holders encourage the wide use of the AACR Rules and welcome such requests. A royalty payment or fee according to circumstances will normally be payable.

The Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP) handles translation licences on behalf of the copyright holders. All requests should therefore be sent to:

The Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals
for the attention of Vivien Scorer
7 Ridgmount Street
London WC1E 7AE
United Kingdom

or faxed to: Vivien Scorer, CILIP; fax no: +44 20 7255 0591
or emailed to: vivien.scorer@cilip.org.uk

For a list of AACR translations, see the JSC Web site.
